Sony Xperia XZ1 hits Amazon with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box

Looking for a new phone? The Sony Xperia XZ1 has just hit the Amazon shelves and is ready to ship to those willing to pay $699.99 for it. It is by no means a cheap device, but it does promise good specs and optimal performance, which you can learn all about in our hands-on post.

It's most special feature is that it's one of the first devices to come with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. It was at least the first to be announced to come with the newest Android version (along with its Compact version), and now you can have it come right to your doorstep.

Other specs for the XZ1 include a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage, 19/13 MP cameras, IP68 water/dust protection and a 2700 mAh battery.

As mentioned above, the phone costs $699.99 and comes factory unlocked, with a US warranty. It is also available in 4 colors: Black, Moonlit Blue, Venus Pink and Warm Silver. Of course, customers get the iconic all-metal construction Sony is known for.

Ready to sign up for it? It is one of your best bets if you are looking for a good smartphone with Android 8.0 Oreo. The phone is also nothing to scoff at. The biggest complaint is likely the 1080p screen, but Sony stands by the argument that Full HD is more than enough to get a good experience from a phone this size. After all, it does help keep resources in check. Interested? Hit Amazon and sign up.
