T-Mobile G2x by LG and Nokia Astound go official

Yesterday's news of AT&T placing a bid on Deutsche Telekom's magenta-loving carrier may have made some of you suspect that T-Mobile USA would slow down its game a bit. This is obviously not the case as today the carrier announced the dual-core T-Mobile G2x and Nokia Astound at the CTIA Wireless in Orlando, Florida.
The T-Mobile G2x is essentially identical to the dual-core Tegra 2-packing LG Optimus 2X, but for the T-Mobile branding and the supported 3G bands. Hardcore Android fans out there will be happy to know that, as expected, T-Mobile will release the dual-core Tegra 2 packing G2x with stock Android 2.2 (though stock Gingerbread would have been even better news).
The device should become available later this spring, but if you don't wait that long, just hit the link to our thorough review of the LG Optimus 2X. It's the same thing. Honest!
Nokia Astound, or as Europeans know it Nokia C7, is also hitting T-Mobile's shelves this spring. T-Mobile will start offering the Symbian^3 smartphone starting April 6 for $80 on a contract
